Thanks

This has been a great game to play! We have recommended Blokus game to several friends. We love the fact that the Blokus game is never the same and that it can be played with extreme competitiveness... or just for fun. Thanks for creating an exciting and mind-provoking game"

This Blokus game has literally taken over my life. We are the type of family that does not eat in front of the TV or play during meals. Rather, we enjoy conversation during dinnertime. We now find ourselves eating WHILE playing "Travel" Blokus. (The plastic pieces are easily washable). My five-year-old picked up the game quickly, since there is only one rule - your pieces must only touch at the corners. While this seems simplistic there is so much strategy behind each move. If you think you know where you are going to put your next piece, you better have a back up plan, or seven, because your opponent can inadvertently or strategically kill your game plan. It is challenging for adults and children and is highly recommended to teach your child spatial reasoning (will later help them in the area of mathematics) and is somewhat similar to Tetris in the way that you have to look at a shape and understand how it can fit in a space by manipulating the shape (upside-down, backward, sideways, etc.) Blokus is our favorite game by now.

Blokus Giant

Blokus Giant is a veritable attraction in itself ! It is impossible to resist the curiosity and pleasure of a game played on this large colourful board. For this reason,Blokus Giant is particularly suited to community facilities such as games libraries or cafes, as well as Festival-type game events. But this friendly format also delights children, either at school or at home.

My point

Should I buy Blokus?: The Blokus games retails for $29.99, which isn’t too bad given that you can break this out with almost anybody. If you are looking for a good “family night” game, Blokus is fantastic. They also sell a travel version for cheaper, which would be a wonderful use of car rides for you or your kids. It also acts as a good filler game, since it only takes 20 minutes to play a Blokus game. But you could also make a short evening out of it, playing best-of-5. If you are into games like Go, Tetris, or Chess (or can answer “Yes” to the above questions), then I would strongly think about investing in Blokus.

So fun

My daughter and wife enjoyed Blokus a lot (my daughter even asked if we could play again and again). My 7 y/o daugther picked it up fast enough to win the second game (she even told us her strategy for the second game - "I used all of my big pieces first." I may have to try that next time . So, I'd definitely recommend Blokus for 7 and up. The Blokus game itself is rated for 5+.

All in all, I'd defintely recommend Blokus. It's fast. It's easy to learn/teach. It's fun. It's challenging. And you can play Blokus with your kids!
